EUROVISION AMERICAS Inc. is looking for a committed and experienced Master Control Operator to work in its Washington, DC Technical Operating Center (TOC).

WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES WAITING FOR YOU?

As part of the TOC and Engineering team, you will be working with senior international engineers specialized in global media Tier-1 sports and news content.

The applicants will be part of a talented and motivated core team that will support Eurovision Services in delivering the most innovative and reliable services for our customers in the Americas and around the world.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising live news and sports transmissions through the Eurovision Washington, DC technical operations center;

• Encoding, decoding, standards converting and routing signals to distribute top-level live sports around the world by satellite and fiber;

• Setting up satellite dishes to uplink and downlink news and live sports events;

• Operate ASI and SRT/IP routing and decoding;

• Operating remote-controlled TV news contribution studios.

The successful candidate will work on a 24/7 roster either as part of a team or independently at less busy times. Normally shifts are 8 or 10 hours in length, and an average of 40 hours per week is worked. Night work is compensated by additional time off. The Candidate will need to be flexibility in scheduling passed on breaking news and additional coverage when needed.

ONCE ON BOARD YOU WILL:

• Be part of an outstanding and experienced team

• Training will take from three to six months, to assimilate facilities, network structure, operating procedures and tools and clients’ needs,

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Education: preferably a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or similar degree

- At least 3 years of experience as a television master control operator 

- Experience working collaboratively with geographically distributed and international teams (our headquarters are located in Switzerland)

- Excellent customer service skills and an ability to troubleshoot with logic and patience are primary requirements of the job

- Ability to work under pressure and attention to details are also key to succeed in this role
