Procurement Team Leader
Eurovision Services (ES) is looking for a Procurement Team Leader to join the Procurement team at Eurovision Services Madrid, Spain.
ABOUT THE PROCUREMENT TEAM
Our Procurement team is responsible for driving value by strategically sourcing and managing supplier relationships, with a focus on ensuring that the procurement decisions are aligned with the latest advancements in technology within the satellite, telecommunications, and media industries. The team collaborates closely with Sales, Technology and Operations to ensure that the procurement activities support the company’s multi-year strategic plan and contribute to the seamless execution of our roadmaps.
As a Team Leader based in Madrid and reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will play a critical role in executing our procurement strategy. You will oversee a team responsible for managing vendor and purchase order creation and maintenance and handling vendor queries. This role will focus on optimizing procurement processes through automation, ensuring continuous improvement and driving operational efficiency. The Team Leader will also define clear team objectives, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to procurement policies and best practices.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage the procurement operations team responsible for vendor and PO creation and maintenance, contract administration and vendor P2P support.
- Set clear goals and objectives for team members, ensuring alignment with overall procurement strategies.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and manage individual development plans.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
Operational Efficiency & Process Automation:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of procurement operations.
- Leverage automation tools and technologies to streamline manual processes, reducing errors and increasing productivity.
- Partner with IT and process optimization teams to drive digital transformation initiatives within procurement operations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with category buyers, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
- Act as a point of escalation for both internal stakeholders and vendors on procurement-related issues.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement operations team.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on team performance, operational efficiency, and improvement initiatives.
YOUR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain or operations, with at least 1 year in a team leadership role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management and contract administration.
- Proven experience in process automation, Lean methodologies, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Proactive Problem Solver: A proactive attitude toward problem-solving, coupled with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work with data and drive decision-making through metrics.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a professional level, with fluency in English.
